Where to find Strong’s MSAD58 withdrawal research

The Strong Select Board’s committee researching withdrawal from the MSAD58 school district has been hard at work gathering data from the Maine Department of Education, MSAD58, and surrounding districts to offer townspeople a thorough analysis of what it would look like if Strong became an independent school again.

All the committee materials are available to the public here. We encourage you to download and share these references, and email us at strongschoolresearch@gmail.com with any feedback or questions you may have. You can also see the committee meeting schedule here. The next meeting is Monday, September 15th at 6pm at 14 S. Main Street. Here is the agenda.

We are currently on Step 8 of the withdrawal process, which is where the bulk of the work occurs. At the next meeting, the committee will be discussing which withdrawal scenarios to prioritize and why. We will schedule a public hearing soon to review our findings and get your feedback.

In the meantime, if you have ideas or concerns you would like us to incorporate in our findings, please send them to the committee address: strongschoolresearch@gmail.com
